Theme
Looking at the theme of non-voting and non-voters is especially intriguing in connection with young people – which is why we have chosen this perspective as our entry-point in this project:

- Many young people are not even entitled to vote, often because they are deemed too young. We want to ask why and challenge the dominating political discourse.
- Many young people cannot vote in their place of residence, often because their families migrated. We want to talk to them and reveal how much truth there is to the common wisdom that they don’t care.
- Many young people don’t bother to vote because they are disillusioned. We want to find out how politics needs to change to have a chance of winning them back.
- Many young people have more important problems than elections – they have no home and no food. We want to look at their situation, too, and discuss how relevant social security really is for a functioning democracy.
As we go along, we will write about our findings and questions and post photos and videos about our work. Curious? Do get in touch.
